Growing up among the Pennines and now living within the Surrey Hills, I draw inspiration from the dramatic forms found in nature, and every garden I design is crafted to complement its surrounding landscape.
I take time to understand the site and those who will use it — looking at how the light moves, assessing what the soil can support, and getting to know how you want to experience your outdoor space. From there, I think carefully about how the garden unfolds as you move through it, balancing open and intimate spaces and creating a seamless flow between them. Every design begins as a hand-drawn sketch, a skill that brings precision and a personal touch to the earliest ideas.
Before retraining formally in design, I ran my own gardening business, so I know how a garden really behaves once it’s in the ground. I went on to retrain with the RHS and at the National Trust’s Winkworth Arboretum, which fuelled my passion for preserving native trees, championing naturalistic planting, and building gardens that are resilient to climate change and protective of local ecosystems.
I also bring a decade of project management experience to every commission, which means clear communication, reliable delivery, and a process that feels effortless from first conversation to final planting and aftercare.
